Northern Virginia, is absolutely breathtaking in the fall. The weather is mild, and beautiful – the summer humidity of the mid-Atlantic subsides as the days get shorter and cooler. The leaves along the Potomac and the foothills of the Shenandoah’s reach their peak right about now, and the colors are gorgeous. When the sun hits the trees just right the golds, oranges and reds light up like fireworks in July.
Unfortunately, today was not one of those beautiful, color struck days. It rained, and rained, and then rained some more. I do have to say…I kind of enjoy these days, too. The cool weather, makes me want to put on some thick wool socks, cozy up with a blanket, a good book, and a nice, hot cup of coffee. To embrace the cool fall day, I made one of these today – a Nutella Hazelnut Coffee. One of my ABSOLUTE favorite coffee drinks, and it is super easy to make. Best of all, it has one of my favorite foods in it – NUTELLA!!
In the time it takes you to brew your morning coffee, you could make one of these in the same time. Quick! Easy! Delicious!
Nutella Hazelnut Coffee
This dessert coffee is the perfect drink for a cold day! If you like Nutella, you will LOVE this coffee. The hazelnut flavors blend perfectly to make this drink wonderful!
Ingredients
- 8 - 10 oz hot, brewed coffee
- 2 Tbsp. half and half
- 2 Tbsp. Hazelnut coffee syrup
- 1 Tbsp. Nutella
- Whipped Cream
Instructions
- In your favorite coffee mug, fill 3/4 full (about 8-10 oz.) of hot, freshly brewed coffee. Stir in the half & half, syrup and Nutella. If necessary, use a mini-whisk to thoroughly dissolve the Nutella. Top with whipped cream, and chocolate shavings as a garnish. Enjoy!
As you can see, this is so amazingly easy to throw together. Most of these ingredients you probably already have at home. You can find the Hazelnut syrup in the coffee section at most grocery stores. Add more syrup if you really enjoy the flavor.
I hope you’re able to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice hot Nutella Hazelnut coffee soon. Enjoy!

Just a quick tip: Grind your hazelnuts and coffee beans separately for a couple of minutes or until the beans become powder or granules.
