FAQ’s all about energy bites:
Yes, if they are made with good quality ingredients. Make sure to look for nut butters that contain no added sugars or oils – they should just contain nuts and salt. If adding chocolate chips or dried fruits, make sure they contain little to no added sugars.
This entirely depends on the ingredients they are made with. These cranberry no bake energy bites contain 51 calories per bite.
Yes. You can safely eat raw/dry, uncooked oats in energy balls and energy bites. When combined with other ingredients the oats soften and are easy to eat.
Yes, but choose a good quality almond butter. Look for nut butters that contain no added sugars or oils. The only ingredients listed on a good quality nut butter should be the nut (peanuts, almonds, cashews, seeds) and sometimes salt.
Technically, nut butters are best classified as healthy fats. Nut butter is not necessarily a good source of protein or carbohydrates.

How do I store energy bites?
Energy bites are best stored in the refrigerator or freezer. I like to store mine in one large resealable container in my freezer. I separate the layers of bites with a sheet of parchment paper so they don’t stick together.
You can also refrigerate or freeze in individual servings (2 bites) using plastic containers or freezer bags. Refrigerated, these energy bites will keep for up to 2 weeks. When frozen, they will keep for up to 6 months.
These bites make a great pre or post workout snack, perfect for re-fueling after a run or your favorite gym class.
