Double Chocolate Protein Balls


– 1 c. chocolate protein powder (whey protein or plant-based) – 1/2 c. almond meal/flour – 2 Tbsp. cacao powder (you can also use cocoa powder) – 2 Tbsp. nut butter – 2 Tbsp. maple syrup – 3-4 Tbsp. water – 1/3 c. chocolate chips or chocolate chunks


Step 1

In a mixing bowl add the protein powder, almond meal, cacao powder, nut butter and maple syrup.

Step 2

Stir to combine ingredients, gradually add the water 1 tablespoon at a time. As the water is added, the ingredients will become thicker and slightly sticky.

Step 3

Add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.

Step 4

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon/measuring spoon, roll into 1" balls using your hands.

Step 5

Place on cookie sheet, and refrigerate or freeze for 1 hour for bites to become firm.

Step 6

Place in resealable container or plastic bags. Refrigerate or freeze and take out when ready to enjoy.
