Healthy Shrimp Tacos


– 1 lb. raw shrimp,(medium-large sized) tails removed – juice of 2 limes – 2 Tbsp. olive oil – 1 tsp. chili powder – 1/2 tsp. cumin – 1/2 tsp. garlic salt – 1/2 tsp. pepper – 8 corn or flour tortillas toppings: – sliced red cabbage – pico de gallo salsa – sliced avocados


Step 1

In a bowl, place the raw shrimp and top with the lime juice. Let sit for 10-30 minutes to marinate.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the spices; chili powder, cumin, garlic salt and pepper. Stir together with a spoon.

Step 3

In a large skillet, add the olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Place the marinated shrimp into the hot skillet in one even layer. Sprinkle the top side of the shrimp with half of the seasoning.

Step 4

Cook for approximately 3 minutes. Flip the shrimp, then sprinkle with the remaining seasoning and cook for another 3 minutes. Promptly remove from heat.

Step 5

Toast or warm the tortillas.

Step 6

Serve and enjoy right away while hot.
