Healthy French Toast Recipe

– 12 slices light bread  – 2 eggs – 3 egg whites – 1 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk  – 1/2 cup unflavored collagen protein  – 2 Tablespoons sweetener – 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

INGREDIENTS

Step 1: Whisk together egg mixture

To shallow dish, add the eggs, milk, protein powder, sweetener, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.

Step 2: Dip bread into egg mixture

Once mixed together, dip a slice of bread into the mixture, coating both sides.

Step 3: Add coated bread to hot skillet

Lightly spray skillet with non stick spray. Heat to medium-low. Add 2-3 slices of coated bread and toast 2-4 minutes per side.

Step 4: Cook to golden brown

Toast each side of the French toast on each side, about 2-4 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 5: Keep toast warm for serving

Cook all slices of toast, transferring to a baking dish or platter to keep warm.
