(1/2 package) cut into small cubes – 6 eggs – 1 1/2 c. milk – 1/2 c. half and half – 1/2 c. sugar – 2 tsp. vanilla – 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Streusel Topping: – 1/4 c. flour – 1/4 c. sugar – 1/2 tsp.cinnamon – 1/4 tsp. nutmeg – 3 Tbsp. cold butter – 1/4 c. sliced almonds
In a medium bowl, combine the eggs, milk, half and half, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Whisk together well, ensuring all of the egg yolks are broken and well combined. Pour this mixture evenly over the top of the bread.
