– 1 (15 oz.) can, pumpkin puree – 1/3 c. Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute – 2 Tbsp. lemon juice – 1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice – 1 tsp. vanilla extract – 1/8 tsp. salt

INGREDIENTS

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan.

Step 2

Next, set the heat on medium-low and bring the pumpkin mixture to a low simmer.

Step 3

Once at a low simmer, reduce the heat slightly and simmer for approximately 5 minutes, stirring often.

Step 4

After about 5 minutes of simmering, the pumpkin mixture will darken slightly. Let it cool for 10 minutes before enjoying.

Step 5

If you are refrigerating or freezing the pumpkin butter, let it cool to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container. You can use a plastic resealable (freezer-safe) container or store in a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid if you’re looking to keep it in your refrigerator.
