Red Velvet Cake Parfaits

INGREDIENTS you'll need:

Step 1: Bake the red velvet cake

Combine the red velvet cake mix with the eggs, water & oil. Mix to combine. Bake in a 9 x 13" pan at 350 for 22-25 minutes.

Step 2: Let cake cool completely

Once the cake comes out of the oven, set it aside to let it cool completely to room temperature.

Step 3: Mix the cream cheese custard

While the cake cools, mix together the cream cheese custard. With a mixer, mix together the cream cheese, milk, vanilla, sour cream and sugar. Mixture will be slightly thick, like pudding. Refrigerate until ready to assemble the parfaits.

Step 4: Cut cooled cake into 1" squares

Once the cake has cooled completely, use a serrated knife to cut it into 1" cubes.

Step 5: Layer cake into glasses

Add a layer of cake to the bottom of wine glasses, using 4-5 cubes of cake. You can also use a large glass trifle dish.

Step 6: Pour the custard over the cake

Pour 2-3 tablespoons of the custard over the cake. Repeat to make layers of cake and custard.

Refrigerate until ready to serve

Top each parfait with some additional cake crumbs, red sprinkles or chocolate chips for garnish. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
