The BEST Grilled Chicken Leg Quarters

Step 1: Trim Chicken Quarters

Trim the chicken of any excess fat and skin, leaving the majority of the skin on the chicken. This will help keep the chicken juicy and flavorful. Drizzle the chicken with the olive oil.

Step 2: Season the chicken

In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, cumin and ground pepper. Sprinkle over all sides of the chicken.

Step 3: Grill the chicken at 400 degrees

Place the chicken skin-side down and cook for 10 minutes with the grill lid closed.

Step 4: Brush with sauce

After 10 minutes, turn the chicken and brush with barbecue sauce. Cook for another 10 minutes.

Check the temp for doneness

To make sure the chicken is properly cooked through, use an instant read digital meat thermometer. Internal temp needs to reach 165 degrees.

Serve and Enjoy!

Once the chicken quarters come off the grill, let them rest about 10 minutes before serving. This will keep the chicken extra juicy! Serve with the reserved sauce.
