Lipton French Onion Meatloaf

– 2 lbs. ground beef 90/10 mix – 3/4 cup unflavored breadcrumbs – 3/4 cup beef broth – 1 envelope Lipton Beefy Onion Soup mix – 2 eggs – 1/3 cup ketchup Toppings: – 8 slices Swiss cheese – 1 1/2 cups yellow onions – 2 Tablespoons olive oil

INGREDIENTS

Step 1: Mix the meatloaf ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, beef broth, eggs, dry soup mix and ketchup.

Step 2: Form mixture into loaf

To a sheet pan lined with foil, turn out the meatloaf mixture. Form into a loaf approximately 10" long by 4" wide. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.

Step 3: Sautee Onions

While the meatloaf bakes, sauté the sliced onions over medium-high heat. Caramelize onions until brown. Remove from heat and keep warm. 

To the baked meatloaf, add the cheese slices. Return back to the oven for 5 minutes for the cheese to melt.

Step 4: Add the Swiss Cheese slices

To the melted cheese, top the meatloaf with the caramelized onions.

Step 5: Top with onions for serving

Serve with your favorite potatoes and vegetables for the perfect dinner!
