Frozen Strawberry Dump Cake with Yellow Cake Mix

Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz. pkgs.) frozen strawberries or 4 heaping cups
- 1 (15.25 oz. box) yellow cake mix can also use white or lemon cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium baking dish, or 9x9" baking dish or pan add the frozen strawberries to the bottom of the dish. They do not have to be thawed.
- To a mixing bowl, add the cake mix. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix and stir together with a fork until crumbly. Mixture will resemble gravel.
- Evenly top the strawberries with the cake mix crumble. Bake the strawberry cobbler for 33-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm over vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
A sugar free cake mix can be used in this recipe. I tested a sugar-free yellow cake mix, and it baked well.
Fresh or frozen strawberries can be used in this recipe. If using frozen berries, they do not have to be thawed.
