4-Ingredient Rotisserie Chicken Tacos


Ingredients you'll need:

– 1 lb. rotisserie chicken, shredded – 1/2 c. water – 1 c. taco sauce – 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice (juice of 1 lime)

Step 1: Shred the chicken

Using a store-bought rotisserie chicken, shred approximately 1 lb. of the meat using your hands, or two forks for large pieces. Pro Tip: Toss in large pieces of chicken to a mixing bowl and shred with your Kitchenaid Mixer paddle attachment.

Step 2: Heat the chicken

To the chicken, add 1/2 cup of water and heat over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes or until the chicken is heated through and the water begins to simmer.  

Step 3: Add taco sauce

To the steaming chicken, add the taco sauce and lime juice. Stir well to coat all of the chicken evenly. You can use store-bought or homemade taco sauce.

Step 4: Coat the chicken & heat

Heat over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes or until the chicken begins to simmer. Stir the chicken well to coat with the taco sauce.

Serve & Enjoy!

Remove from heat and serve in tortillas or crunchy taco shells with all of your favorite taco toppings.
