This Thanksgiving we will be hosting my husband’s family, and I have to say I’m really looking forward to it! Because all of us live in various parts of the country, this will be our chance to not only celebrate Thanksgiving, but also Christmas together!
My son is really looking forward to seeing his grandma, aunt and uncles. With so many of us all under one roof, having ample drinks ready to go is essential! My Ginger Snap Cocktail will be the perfect libation to celebrate the holidays with family!
Made with Canada Dry TEN® (full flavor, only 10 calories), this creamy, sparkling cocktail has all the flavors of the holidays in one delicious glass. The fresh ginger flavor of Canada Dry TEN® is complemented with spiced rum, cream liqueur, and a dash of cloves making it perfect for any holiday party!
I was able to swing by my local Target to pick up 12-packs of Canada Dry TEN® and Canada Dry®. Canada Dry® is perfect to have on hand all through the holidays. Target has a fantastic selection of soda, and now you can take advantage of Cartwheel.com to get discounts on all your favorite sodas.
What liqueur is in this ginger snap cocktail?
The primary liqueur in this ginger snap cocktail is spiced rum. Captain Morgan is the most popular, mainstream spiced rum, but go with the best quality that you can afford.
How do I make a ginger snap cocktail?
Making this fantastic Ginger Snap Cocktail is simple, and one that you can enjoy anytime the mood strikes. To make this cocktail, you’ll need a cocktail shaker – if you don’t have one you can also use a mason jar with a tight fitting lid.
To your cocktail shaker or jar, add ice, Canada Dry TEN®, the spiced rum, cream liqueur, and half and half. Shake to combine, and then pour into glasses.
How do I garnish this ginger snap cocktail?
To add a pretty garnish to the glasses, I rimmed them with a bit of honey, and crushed gingersnap cookie crumbs. Lastly, I added a sprinkle of ground cloves to the top of the drink, which is an excellent addition to this cocktail that compliments the flavors wonderfully!

I love the idea of this, but wouldn’t shaking the ginger ale vigorously cause a fizzy explosion? I really want to try this because I have all the ingredients. Can the mixture be stirred to avoid this?
