These Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Pretzels are the perfect Valentine’s Day Treat
Don’t you just love Valentine’s Day? I really love the chocolate, sweets, and childhood memories of exchanging Valentine’s with friends in your class. I love treating everyone in my life to some special V-day goodies showing just how much I love and appreciate all that they do to make life special.
This year I’m making something special for my son’s classroom Valentine’s Day party, and these Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Pretzels are the perfect treat for all the kiddos in his class.
The ingredients you’ll need for these Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Pretzels:
Making these fun and delicious Jumbo Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Pretzels are super simple. You’ll start with just a few simple ingredients:
- Jumbo Pub-Style Pretzels
- Chocolate and/or Vanilla Candy Melts
- Red and Pink Valentine’s M&M Candies
The Simple Steps to Making these Heart Shaped Chocolate Covered Pretzels:
Start by laying down a sheet of waxed paper on your work surface. Next, melt the dipping chocolate according to the package directions (I melted mine in the microwave for about 1 minute.)
Submerge each pretzel into the chocolate so it’s completely covered. Lift out with a fork or spatula, and lay on the waxed paper. While the chocolate is still wet, add the M&M’s® along the edge of the pretzel to make a heart shape.
Let the chocolate cool completely. I worked with three pretzels at a time, as the chocolate begins to harden quickly.
As you can see, the M&M’s® Strawberry candies come in three colors, so I decided to make three colors of hearts, with the chocolate and vanilla dipping chocolate. Feel free to arrange the M&M’s® in any color combination or assortment you wish.
Once the chocolate has cooled and hardened, you’ll be able to peel the pretzels right off the waxed paper. Make extra, as you’ll definitely want to have plenty on hand for snacking! The flavor of the Strawberry M&M’s® go great with the dipping chocolate and the crunch of the pretzels.
Once the pretzels cooled, I placed them into DOVE® Valentine’s Day along with the pretty DOVE® milk chocolates. Wow!! The the class will LOVE this yummy treat and will be the perfect heart shaped snack for the classroom Valentine’s Day party.
