If you’re on Tiktok, you’ve likely seen the viral Boursin pasta recipe. This pasta is made with Boursin cheese, orzo pasta, fresh tomatoes and spinach.
The reason this recipe is so popular, is that it’s very simple to make with your oven doing most of the work. It has also gained its popularity with its incredible flavor and creamy texture. This simple pasta dish can be served with chicken, salmon, shrimp and even steak.

What do I need to make Tiktok Boursin pasta?
- Boursin cheese – Boursin is found in the Deli section of your local grocery store near the rest of the soft cheeses.
- Orzo pasta – not to be confused with risotto, Orzo is a pasta made of semolina flour. It can be found in the pasta section of your grocery store.
- Chicken or Vegetable stock – feel free to use either stock or broth.
- Fresh cherry or grape tomatoes – Fresh tomatoes are great in this pasta dish, however, you can also substitute with sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil.
- Fresh baby spinach – no need to chop or steam, the spinach will be stirred into the pasta as is.
- Garlic – I use jarred minced garlic, however feel free to mince fresh cloves of garlic.
- Olive oil – added to the pasta, cheese and broth before baking, the oil prevents the pasta from clumping together when baked.
- Parmesan cheese – shredded Parmesan cheese is ideal in this recipe. I don’t recommend the canned, grated Parmesan, as it can be overly salty in this pasta dish.
- Half and half – added to the pasta to help achieve its creamy texture.
- Spices – Italian herbs, garlic salt, ground pepper and red pepper flakes. These help enhance the flavor.

How do I make Boursin orzo bake?
Begin by adding the block of Boursin cheese in the center of your baking dish. Add in the dry orzo pasta, garlic, halved tomatoes and spices.
Add in the stock and the olive oil to the baking dish. These will help the pasta cook evenly and prevent it from clumping together.
Before placing in the oven, be sure to cover the baking dish tightly with foil. This will keep the steam inside with baking dish, helping to cook the pasta evenly.

What do I add to Boursin tomato pasta after baking?
Once the Boursin pasta has baked, add in the fresh spinach, Parmesan cheese and half and half. Stir together well to help the spinach incorporate with the rest of the ingredients.
Bake for another 5 minutes to help the cheese melt.

Ingredient Substitutions and Recommendations for Boursin Orzo Bake:
- Asparagus – this would be fantastic as a Spring or summer side dish recipe. I would recommend adding the asparagus withe the pasta to ensure its tender.
- Mushrooms – sliced mushrooms would be great in the creamy, cheesy sauce. Add in with the pasta to help mushrooms cook and are tender when serving.
- Artichokes – adding in a jar of chopped artichoke hearts is fantastic paired with the spinach. Make sure the artichokes are drained of any brine before adding to the pasta.
