Does your day typically start with a hot or iced coffee? Trying mixing it up with adding Nutella to your hot or iced coffee in the morning.
Made in just minutes, this Nutella coffee can be made either hot or iced. With just three ingredients, this delicious coffee tastes like you picked it up from your local coffee place.
What do I need to make Nutella coffee?
Here’s a quick-reference ingredient list of the items you’ll need to make this coffee drink:
- Cold Brew Coffee – most grocery stores now carry cold brew coffee in the refrigerated section near the milk. Have you ever tried making your own cold brew? It’s a pretty simple process that I outline in How to Make Cold Brew Coffee.
- Milk – I used vanilla almond milk, however feel free to use either dairy or plant-based milk of your choice.
- Nutella – Nutella hazelnut spread is found near the peanut butter and jelly at your local grocery store.
For exact ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions be sure to reference the recipe card at the bottom of this post. Thanks!
How do I make Nutella coffee?
Mixing together a quick Nutella coffee is quick and simple. Start by adding the Nutella to the bottom of the glass or mug.
To the Nutella add the cold brew or hot coffee. Whisk together the Nutella and coffee until it is well incorporated. Add ice if you’re making it iced.
Lastly, add your preferred milk to the coffee. Top with whipped cream for an extra treat. Enjoy right away.
Is Nutella with coffee good?
Yes, Nutella in coffee tastes decadent and delicious. It has a mild hazelnut and chocolate flavor that is sweet. When milk is added, it becomes creamy and tastes like a latte.
Can you mix Nutella in black coffee?
Yes, Nutella can be mixed into black coffee. I recommend using a small whisk or a battery-powdered milk frother, like this PowerLix Milk Frother, which will help the thick Nutella spread incorporate well into the coffee. Nutella can be added to hot coffee or cold brew coffee.
How do I make a Nutella latte?
Start by adding Nutella to the bottom of a large mug. To the Nutella add in a shot of espresso. You can also use strong brewed coffee, or instant espresso powder if you don’t have an espresso maker. Whisk the espresso and Nutella together well.
Add in steamed milk and top with foam for a delicious Nutella latte.
Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine
Want to make both coffee AND espresso at home? This is the machine I use and LOVE. The fresh espresso is amazing and the brewed coffee tastes equally fantastic. I highly recommend!

Just a quick tip: Grind your hazelnuts and coffee beans separately for a couple of minutes or until the beans become powder or granules.
