If you live anywhere near a Chick-fil-A restaurant, you’ve probably enjoyed one of their delicious Peach milkshakes. CFA only offers this delicious milkshake seasonally; typically June, July and August. However, you can now enjoy this peach milkshake recipe all year long.
Made with just a few simple ingredients, this thick and delicious peach milkshake is topped with loads of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry – just like Chick-Fil-A!
What is actually in a Chick-fil-A Peach Milkshake?
At Chick-fil-A, a peach milkshake is made with their signature “ice dream” soft serve ice cream, peach puree, which is made with peaches, sugar citric acid and natural flavors. The milkshake is then topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
Our copycat version swaps the artificial base for real vanilla ice cream and fresh peaches – simple ingredients with the same great taste.
How many calories are in a Chick-fil-A peach milkshake?
A medium CFA peach milkshake has approximately 570 calories, and has 98g of sugar. The large size has 849 calories and upwards of 144 grams of sugar. The homemade version comes in at around 436 calories per serving and has 59g of sugar.

How do I make Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Peach Lemonade?
In the summer of 2025, Chick-fil-A lauched their Frosted Peach Lemonade that is a companion to their original frosted lemonade. The Chick-fil-A frosted lemonade is a mix of their “ice dream” soft serve ice cream and their lemonade. Check out my post for a Copycat Chick-fil-A Frosted Lemonade.
To replicate the Chick-fil-A frosted peach lemonade, begin by blending the ice cream, lemon juice, simple syrup and lemon extract. Add in about 1/2 cup of frozen peaches to achieve that tasty peach lemonade flavor.
FAQ’s about the Chick-fil-A peach milkshake recipe:
Yes. Chick-fil-A only offers their peach milkshake during the summer months, typically June through August.
Chick-fil-A brings back their peach milkshake every summer, starting in June and offering it through August. Because it’s seasonal, this recipe lets you enjoy it year-round with frozen peaches.
A medium CFA peach milkshake has approximately 570 calories, and has 98g of sugar, and costs around $4.50-$5.50. The homemade version comes in at around 436 calories per serving and has 59g of sugar and costs roughly $1-$2 to make at home.
Definitely! Canned peaches work great (drain well first), are availableyear-round and are already sweetened, so reduce added sugar accordingly.
Yes, and it’s actualy the best method for off-season preparation. Frozen peaches are pickes at peak ripeness and are available year-round in the frozen foods section at your local grocery store. The frozen peaches make the milkshake thicker without having to add extra ice. Tip: use slighly less milk when blending with frozen peaches.

How do you thicken a homemade milkshake?
First use a really good (and very frozen!) ice cream. Softer, slightly melted ice cream will render a thinner milkshake. Using a good quality vanilla ice cream, straight from the freezer will help ensure a nice, thick texture. You can also add less milk and more ice cream, just ensure the ice cream is hard.
Can I make a peach milkshake with frozen peaches?
Another way to create a very thick and creamy peach milkshake is to use frozen peaches. Frozen peaches are frozen at their peak ripeness, creating great peach flavor. The frozen peaches, in addition to the frozen ice cream will create an ultra smooth shake.
How do I make a peach milkshake recipe with fresh peach chunks?
Start by adding very frozen vanilla ice cream to a blender. Add in cold milk, peaches, and sugar. Blend until smooth. In addition to the peaches that you blend with the ice cream, add some finely diced peaches at the end that I stirred into the milkshake (not blended). This helps ensure you get plenty of peach in each drink, and also replicates the chunky, peach texture of the original Chick-fil-A shake.
How do I get really good flavor in a milkshake?
There are a couple ways to enhance the flavor in a milkshake. First, consider adding about 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract when blending the ingredients. This will really enhance the sweet flavor. Another option is to use peach simple syrup. At Chick-fil-A they enhance their shakes with a peach flavored syrup. While this is very heavy in refined sugar, it really enhances the flavor.
You can make your own peach simple syrup by combining water, sugar and sliced peaches in a saucepan. Bring it to a simmer until the sugar completely dissolves. Check out We Are Not Martha’s recipe for Peach Simple Syrup here.

How can I make this Chick-fil-A peach milkshake recipe healthy?
Back in 2020 I went sugar free, and haven’t looked back. I’ve learned over the past 6 years how to cook and bake many things in a tasty, yet sugar-free way. There are many product on the market that are great flavor enhancers and ways to enjoy treats without the excess sugar.
To make this peach milkshake recipe healthier, I would first substitute refined-sugar free vanilla ice cream for regular. You can also use vanilla frozen yogurt. For the sweetener, I would use a granular monk fruit sweetener, like Whole Earth or Lakanto.
How do I make a milkshake dairy-free?
If you’re looking to create a dairy-free milkshake, first start with a good dairy-free vanilla ice cream that you enjoy. There are several on the market, including ones made by Bryers, So Delicious and even store-brands offer their own versions.
As for a milk substitute, feel free to use your preferred plant-based milk, like almond, soy, coconut, oat or cashew. Add in the peaches and your preferred sweetener – either sugar or a monk fruit sugar free alternative.

This has the potential to be delicious. I have made 4 different versions of this, one with brown sugar, one with white sugar, one with malted milk powder and one with vanilla. One batch with one large peach and one batch with two. The flavor stays peachy but very blah and bland tasting. I’m not sure what else I could try to elevate the flavor.
Super good! I skipped the extra sugar and added an extra peach and it tasted great!
I just made this and it tastes AMAZING(if you like peaches that is) 10/10 would recommend.
Needs spice.
So i added cinnamon and more sugar
Not much peach flavor. Needs something more
